MARATHON AT VATICAN : EXHIBITIONISM AND IMMODESTY

Men and women were wearing thigh-high shorts others were wearing skin hugging material which accentuated the flesh and genitals. They all stood before the Vatican at St. Peter’s Square late this morning.

The marathon today was announced during the week with colorful posters in the local churches(www.corsadeisanti.it ). At some of those very churches people dressed similarly can also receive the Eucharist since the priest may not consider it a mortal sin.

Priests probably participated in today’s marathon wearing shorts.

Imagine if one of the ‘joggers’, fell dead .Where would he go ? Heaven or Hell?

Immodesty in clothes leads to lust in the onlooker. It is a mortal sin for the wearer of the clothes and the onlooker.It is a mortal sin for the wearer of the clothes since he is putting the soul of the onlooker in danger.We have a responsibility towards others.
It is a mortal sin for the onlooker if it causes thoughts of lust. Willful thoughts of lust are mortals sins according to the Catechism of the Catholic Church.
 It causes scandal which is also a mortal sin according to the Catechism of the Catholic Church.This sin can only be forgiven in the Confessional.
Mortal sin darkens the soul. It is like a substance is left on the soul. Something foreign. Souls which go to Heaven, people tell us after they have seen  Heaven, Hell and Purgatory and return to earth, are souls which are spotless,white.
Mortal sin covers the soul with blackness. At the time of death a person can see his life as in a film. He can see the times he committed a mortal sin.He can also see the colour and condtion of his soul. He will realize that if the soul is black he is in all justice to go to Hell forever.If the soul is gray,as  a lady recalled her experience recently, then the soul would have to be purified with suffering in Purgatory.

The Bible indicates that immodesty is a grave sin.It blackens the soul. It does not lead to the Kingdom of God.

16 I say then, walk in the spirit, and you shall not fulfill the lusts of the flesh. 17 For the flesh lusteth against the spirit: and the spirit against the flesh; for these are contrary one to another: so that you do not the things that you would. 18 But if you are led by the spirit, you are not under the law. 19 Now the works of the flesh are manifest, which are fornication, uncleanness, immodesty, luxury, 20 Idolatry, witchcrafts, enmities, contentions, emulations, wraths, quarrels, dissensions, sects,

21 Envies, murders, drunkenness, revellings, and such like. Of the which I foretell you, as I have foretold to you, that they who do such things shall not obtain the kingdom of God. 22 But the fruit of the Spirit is, charity, joy, peace, patience, benignity, goodness, longanimity, 23 Mildness, faith, modesty, continency, chastity. Those who participated in today's race blackened their soul. So did the Catholic organisers.

The race was held on All Saints Day and was titled the Way of the Saints. The race was organized by a Don Bosco Foundation and it was for a missionary cause!

Today morning in homilies we were called to be saints in even small things and with small beginnings. Their blurb said that we are all Christians evolving to be saints.

But with immodesty the Bible says you do not evolve but devolve after you die.

What about the conditions of immodesty for Holy Mass and receiving the Eucharist in the parish churches I ask myself. The Eucharist is given to women without veils and to men and women wearing marathon-like short pants. Women with deep V-neck blouses receive the Eucharist.

Today morning this same secularism was seen before the Vatican. I do not know if they invited the Holy Father or a Church representative to give his blessing before the race began.

The organizers could next year have this race with ‘hurdles’. Not the steeples, rubber tubes and sand-types. Participants could wear shirts/blouses with sleeves.Pants would not be a hurdle if they are loose, when you are really only jogging. This would be in  keeping with the Catholic spirit of the organisers.

The jogger who collapses and dies is oriented to Hell. This is assuming that people are educated and know in their heart what is right and wrong.

If someone is in invincible ignorance then it would not be a sin. He would be an exception known to God only.

Next year organizers, could avoid the scandal, and place  banners at the start of the race, like, Dress Well or Go to Hell.

PRIEST AT MUSEUM NOW DOES NOT BELIEVE PURGATORY HAS FIRE AND FLAMES

Father Domenico at the Church which has the Small Purgatory Museum believes that it was real fire from the souls in Purgatory which burnt paper, cloth and wood; the relics at the Purgatory Museum.

However, he told me today morning, that in Purgatory there is no fire and the fire shown in the museum relics is only symbolic of the suffering of the souls in Purgatory.


In Purgatory they suffer the absence of God only says the priest.


Two years back I recorded him saying, on my digital camera, that Purgatory has fire which burns.

Today we together read the passage in Italian, from the Diary of St. Faustina Kowalski which says Purgatory has flames and fire which did not touch her as her Guardian Angel protected her.


Is Sr. Faustina wrong?


He would not reply.


May be after two years he could change his view again.

SR.FAUSTINA KOWALSKI ALSO SAYS PURGATORY HAS FLAMES AND FIRE WHICH BURN:SAME MESSAGE AS PURGATORY MUSEUM IN ROME

In her Diary Sr. Faustina Kowalski writes that she was shown Purgatory. Her Guardian Angel protected her from getting ‘burnt’ and the flames 'touching'her. Purgatory has fire that burns. And the soul feels it as if the soul has flesh and a nervous system.



The Catechism of the Catholic Church also says that Purgatory has fire.

The following picture is from the Purgatory Museum in Rome. It shows a cross and a palm singed onto material. It was caused by fire. The mark was left by a soul returning from Purgatory.
The mark was left on wood and cloth.It belonged to a Catholic religious. 

When Purgatory has fire and flames that burn you can imagine the condition of the people in Hell.

Fr.Miguel Pro S.J, martyr

Last Sunday a priest gave a homily on martyrdom while another priest-friend sent me material on martyrdom. He wrote about the value of martyrdom and how important it was for one to keep the goal of heaven in  mind.


The homily mentioned the Mexican Cristeros Movement which fought against an anti Catholic government, defending their values even with arms.

I recalled the priest with his arms extended like on a cross. His name is Father Miguel Pro , S.J., He shouted Viva Cristo Rey (Long Live Christ the King) just before he was shot. The executioners made him an example and inspiration for all of us.

I often walk across the Palatine ground in Rome. I pray with Our Lady and the martyrs. It’s a reminder to  not get to comfortable in Rome.

Some ten years back I worked as a volunteer for about three months in a Mother Teresa’s Home. Sister Clemincina was in charge of the Section where I was working. One day Sr. Clemencina M.C comes to me with a frightening look saying, ‘Brother! Last night I had a terrible dream! I dreamt you were being burnt to death…’

Sr.Clemencina made her Final Vows a few years back in Rome at the Church of Santa Croce. It was a coincidence I happened to be there.
