URBANIANA PONTIFICAL UNIVERSITY ROME GIVES UP EX CATHEDRA DOGMA ON MISSION: MAKES HISTORY

Urbaniana University, the Catholic Pontifical University in Rome which focuses on Mission has accepted the Jewish Left instructions and recognized the threat- they have officially and publicly given up the Catholic ex cathedra dogma extra ecclesiam nulla salus. This was evident in the Edinburgh 2010 conference they organised this month at the Urbaniana which was also addressed by the Rector of the Urbaniana University Father Cataldo Zuccaro.

The Conference made important theological changes in Catholic teaching.

It recognized that the centre of Catholic Mission must be Jesus and must exclude the Church. This means  Christians who believe in Jesus are saved in general and do not have to enter the Catholic Church, Jesus’ Mystical Body for salvation. This would include the Jehowahs Witnesses who claim Jesus and St.Michael the Archangel are the same and that the Godhead has not Three Pesons but Two.

Two thousand  years of teaching were put aside which said that de facto everyone with no exception needs to enter the Catholic Church for salvation.

Secondly the conference had Cardinal Walter Kaspar a member of the Vatican Curia as a speaker. The cardinal in a front page article in the L'Osservatore Romano indicated that Vatican Council II (Lumen Gentium 16, 20) referred to the ordinary way of salvation and were not the exceptions to the ordinary way of salvation, which is the baptism of water and Catholic Faith. So Jews and other non Christians are saved in general in their religions and do not have to convert.

SANDRA MAZZOLINI ECCLESIOLOGY PROF.URBANIANA UNIVERSITY REJECTS CATHOLIC DOGMA AND VATICAN COUNCIL II : EDINBURGH 2010

SANDRA MAZZOLINI,PROFESSOR OF ECCLESIOLOGY AT URBANIANA UNIVERSITY REJECTS CATHOLIC DOGMA AND VATICAN COUNCIL: EDINBURGH 2010 CONF.

A professor of ecclesiology at the Pontifical Urbaniana University, Rome has written a book in Italian which refutes the Catholic dogma extra ecclesiam nulla salus. Her ‘research’ of the Church Fathers indicates that extra ecclesiam nulla salus does not mean everyone needs to enter the Catholic Church. Prof. Sandra Mazzolini, was a key speaker at the Urbaniana University Conference thiis month to celebrate the centenary next year of the Edinburgh 2010 meeting on Mission.

According to the daily Avvenire (Dec.4,2009) she mentioned Vatican Council II and its openness to the ecumenical path and a missionary style in dialogue with the world and the culture of peoples.

Mazzolini was contradicting an ex cathedra teaching of the Catholic Church on extra ecclesiam nulla salus and made no mention of Vatican Council II indicating that educated participants at ecumenical meetings are oriented to Hell unless they convert.

Sandra Mazzolini is the author of the book Chiesa e salvezza.L’extra Ecclesiam nulla salus in epoca patristica (Urbaniana University Press,Rome 2008).

14. This Sacred Council wishes to turn its attention firstly to the Catholic faithful. Basing itself upon Sacred Scripture and Tradition, it teaches that the Church, now sojourning on earth as an exile, is necessary for salvation. Christ, present to us in His Body, which is the Church, is the one Mediator and the unique way of salvation. In explicit terms He Himself affirmed the necessity of faith and baptism(124) and thereby affirmed also the necessity of the Church, for through baptism as through a door men enter the Church. Whosoever, therefore, knowing that the Catholic Church was made necessary by Christ, would refuse to enter or to remain in it, could not be saved…-Lumen Gentium 14,Vatican Council II. Here are the ex cathedra dogmatic teachings that
she refutes. It is a first class heresy for a Catholic.

Outside the Church there is no Salvation

“Outside the Church there is no salvation” is a doctrine of the Catholic Faith that was taught By Jesus Christ to His Apostles, preached by the Fathers, defined by popes and councils and piously believed by the faithful in every age of the Church. Here is how the Popes defined it:

  • “There is but one universal Church of the faithful, outside which no one at all is saved.” (Pope Innocent III, Fourth Lateran Council, 1215.)
  • “We declare, say, define, and pronounce that it is absolutely necessary for the salvation of every human creature to be subject to the Roman Pontiff.” (Pope Boniface VIII, the Bull Unam Sanctam, 1302.)
  • “The most Holy Roman Church firmly believes, professes and preaches that none of those existing outside the Catholic Church, not only pagans, but also Jews and heretics and schismatics, can have a share in life eternal; but that they will go into the eternal fire which was prepared for the devil and his angels, unless before death they are joined with Her; and that so important is the unity of this ecclesiastical body that only those remaining within this unity can profit by the sacraments of the Church unto salvation, and they alone can receive an eternal recompense for their fasts, their almsgivings, their other works of Christian piety and the duties of a Christian soldier. No one, let his almsgiving be as great as it may, no one, even if he pour out his blood for the Name of Christ, can be saved, unless he remain within the bosom and the unity of the Catholic Church.” (Pope Eugene IV, the Bull Cantate Domino, 1441.)  -from the website Catholicism.org
Mazzolini, an Italian, since  May 2004 has been an associate professor in the Faculty of Missiology at the Pontifical University Urbaniana. Her bio data does not say if she is a Catholic.

EDINBURGH 2010 IS CONTRARY TO VATICAN COUNCIL II

The recent meeting to celebrate the Centenary of the World Missionary Conference, held in Edinburgh 1910, in which Cardinal Kaspar and others participated was contrary to Vatican Council II and Catholic dogmatic teaching on Mission. According to Vatican Council II all the educated and informed  Christian participants at this ecumenical meeting are oriented to eternal fires of Hell unless they convert and enter the Catholic Church immediately(Lumen Gentium 14).

A report in the Italian daily Avvenire, Ecumenismo,da 100 anni una “missione” viva by Fabrizio Mastrofini p.17, states Cardinal Walter Kaspar, President of the Pontifical Council for Christian Unity  was one of the speakers on the last day of the conference organised by the Urbaniana University, Faculty of Missiology. It was a meeting of Protestants and Catholics to jointly celebrate the centenary of the Edinburgh conference in 1910 when mainland Protestant communities focused on Christian Mission.

According to Ermano Genre,a Valdese community teacher, the reports says, the purpose of this ecumenical meeting at the Urbaniana was not to reach a theological agreement but to elaborate the road in community and fraternity for proclaiming the Gospel.

It may be mentioned that according to the Gospel as proclaimed by the Catholic Church , Ermano Genre needs to convert .Since the ordinary way to avoid Hell is Catholic Faith with the baptism of water. Lumen Gentium 14 states:

Emphasis added)
