Archbishop Raymond Burke affirms Kolbean theology

Mary CoRedemptrix Mediatrix of all Graces, all non-Catholics need to enter the Catholic Church for salvation, ecumenism of return

In an extraordinary, rare interview for a bishop in Rome , Archbishop Raymond Burke, affirmed the teachings of the Polish saint, very close to Pope John Paul II, St. Maximillian Maria Kolbe.

The Newsflash of Inside the Vatican magazine which has carried the interview is also the first-lead report on the website Spirit Daily (June 16, 2009). The report from Rome is by Andrew Rabal, Australian ITV correspondent.

Archbishop Raymond Burke, Prefect of the Apostolic Signatura in Rome says he was ‘very steeped in the whole spirituality of the Immaculate Heart of Mary as the way to the Sacred Heart of Jesus. It is through our union of heart with Mary, and our striving to imitate her, that is, our making our hearts like hers, that she brings us to the Sacred Heart of Jesus.’

St. Maximillian Kolbe taught that Jesus was the only Redeemer, the only Saviour and God the Father chose that all graces that come to us from Jesus, comes through Our Lady.

St. Maximillian Kobe was also a journalist and founded an apologetic magazine which taught that all people needed Catholic Faith and Baptism for salvation. He also taught an ecumenism of return, the need for all Christians to enter the Catholic Church for salvation.

He was in accord with Vatican Council II (Ad Gentes 7, Lumen Gentium 14).

Here is an extract of the interview

Recently you participated in an ordination to the priesthood of some Franciscans of the Immaculate at Tarquinia, north of Rome , according to the extraordinary form of the Roman Rite (the old rite). It is not very often that one sees a senior Churchman celebrating so solemn a ceremony according to the extraordinary form. What was your reason for doing this?

Burke: First of all, I have celebrated a number of priesthood ordinations according to the extraordinary form. One very beautiful one took place in Saint Louis in June of 2007, on the feast of the Sacred Heart. When the Friars of the Immaculate requested that I celebrate the ordinations according to the extraordinary form, I was happy to accept because I have known them for a long time, and they staff the Shrine of Our Lady of Guadalupe at La Crosse .

To put it another way, I have never tried to downplay or hide in any way my strong support of what Pope Benedict XVI has asked the Church to do in Summorum Pontificum, and what his predecessor, the servant of God John Paul II asked us to do in Ecclesia Dei adflicta, but rather to accept their liturgical direction fully and wholeheartedly.

In responding to a request like this from the Franciscans of the Immaculate, do you have any sympathy with the Kolbean Marian theology which is their charism, and its current manifestation, in pushing for a final Marian dogma of Our Lady as Co-Redemptrix and Mediatrix?

Burke: I certainly am very sympathetic to the Kolbean theology by which I have been enriched for many years. The first papal ceremony that I ever attended, as a first-year seminarian at the Pontifical North American College , was the beatification of Saint Maximilian Kolbe, and I have had the blessing over the years to get to know his writings and to visit the sacred places of his heroic life and death in Poland . I am certainly very steeped in the whole spirituality of the Immaculate Heart of Mary as the way to the Sacred Heart of Jesus. It is through our union of heart with Mary, and our striving to imitate her, that is, our making our hearts like hers, that she brings us to the Sacred Heart of Jesus.

With regard to the fifth Marian dogma as it is often called, for my part, I believe it to be part of the ordinary teaching of the Church. Although I have no special competence in the area, I certainly am supportive of such a declaration. The teaching is part of my faith.
The Franciscans of the Immaculate also uphold that non Catholic religions are not paths to salvation and their members need to convert to go to Heaven and avoid Hell. They affirm an ecumenism of return.

ALL JEWS IN ROME NEED TO CONVERT INTO THE CATHOLIC CHURCH TO AVOID HELL- Archbishop Raymond Burke

Archbishop Raymond Burke, Prefect, Supreme Tribunal, Vatican has struck the mallet decisively in approval of Kolbean theology. It’s ‘YES’ to the dogma extra ecclesiam nulla salus (outside the Church there is no salvation) (1).

Vatican Council II is in step with the American archbishop. All non Catholics, including Jews, need Catholic Faith and the Baptism of water to avoid Hell (2)

Thousands of Jews in Rome are sadly to be lost to eternal death in Hell the Council indicates since they are aware of the Church yet do not enter.(3)

The dogma that the pro-life canonist approves was referred to as ‘the dogma’, the ‘infallible’ teaching by Pope Pius XII (4).

He was saying all Jews in Boston, specifically, and other cities like Rome, needed to worship God in the only religion in which God wants all people to be united in. This is also the teaching of Fr. Leonard Feeney, who was not excommunicated for heresy as the Jewish Left media reports in error.

The secular media also needs to update their information with St. Pius XII’s teaching that ‘in certain circumstances’ a non Catholic with implicit faith (baptism of desire, invincible ignorance etc) can be saved. (5)

So implicit faith (6) was never in conflict with evangelisation and mission, or with the dogmatic teaching that everyone with no exception needs to enter Jesus’ Mystical Body; the Church, to be saved, from Hell.

Archbishop Raymond Burke, who considers pro abortion U.S politicians to be in mortal sin, reports indicate, could soon be a new cardinal.

1. Here is the ex cathedra dogma extra ecclesiam nulla salus

“There is but one universal Church of the faithful, outside which no one at all is saved.” (Pope Innocent III, Fourth Lateran Council, 1215.).

“We declare, say, define, and pronounce that it is absolutely necessary for the salvation of every human creature to be subject to the Roman Pontiff.” (Pope Boniface VIII, the Bull Unam Sanctam, 302.).

“The most Holy Roman Church firmly believes, professes and preaches that none of those existing outside the Catholic Church, not only pagans, but also Jews and heretics and schismatics, can have a share in life eternal; but that they will go into the eternal fire which was prepared for the devil and his angels, unless before death they are joined with Her; and that so important is the unity of this ecclesiastical body that only those remaining within this unity can profit by the sacraments of the Church unto salvation, and they alone can receive an eternal recompense for their fasts, their almsgivings, their other works of Christian piety and the duties of a Christian soldier. No one, let his almsgiving be as great as it may, no one, even if he pour out his blood for the Name of Christ, can be saved, unless he remain within the bosom and the unity of the Catholic Church.” (Pope Eugene IV, the Bull Cantate Domino, 1441.) – from the website Catholicism.org and “No Salvation outside the Church”: Link List, the Three Dogmatic Statements Regarding EENS) http://nosalvationoutsideofthecatholiicchurch.blogspot.com/

2.Ad Gentes 7.
all must be converted to Him, made known by the Church's preaching, and all must be incorporated into Him by baptism and into the Church which is His body. For Christ Himself "by stressing in express language the necessity of faith and baptism (cf. Mark 16:16; John 3:5), at the same time confirmed the necessity of the Church, into which men enter by baptism, as by a door…’(Emphasis added).

3.Ad Gentes 7:

‘Therefore those men cannot be saved, who though aware that God, through Jesus Christ founded the Church as something necessary, still do not wish to enter into it, or to persevere in it."…-Vatican Council II
Note:Vatican Council II indicats that billions of non Catholics in modern cities who know about the Church and yet do not enter are oriented to Hell.

4.

Now, among those things which the Church has always preached and will never cease to preach is contained also that infallible statement by which we are taught that there is no salvation outside the Church.

However, this dogma must be understood in that sense in which the Church herself understands it...-Letter of the Holy Office 1949 (Emphasis added).

5.

In His infinite mercy God has willed that the effects, necessary for one to be saved, of those helps to salvation which are directed toward man's final end, not by intrinsic necessity, but only by divine institution, can also be obtained in certain circumstances when those helps are used only in desire and longing.-Letter of the Holy Office 1949
6.

Those also can attain to salvation who through no fault of their own do not know the Gospel of Christ or His Church, yet sincerely seek God and moved by grace strive by their deeds to do His will as it is known to them through the dictates of conscience. Nor does Divine Providence deny the helps necessary for salvation to those who, without blame on their part, have not yet arrived at an explicit knowledge of God and with His grace strive to live a good life. Whatever good or truth is found amongst them is looked upon by the Church as a preparation for the Gospel.-Lumen Gentium 16,Vatican Council II
