For the first time in history a pope of the Catholic Church has said that Jews do not have to convert into the Church in the present times. He has put aside the Bible, the Church Fathers, the dogma extra ecclesiam nulla salus, Vatican Council II, Dominus Iesus etc-and given all Catholic a new doctrine to follow.
Inter religious dialogue is no more a part of Mission for Pope Benedict XVI. So in October when the inter faith prayers are held at Assisi, all the Jews present, are assured of salvation in their religion. They do not have to believe in Jesus Christ or enter the Catholic Church.
There is no text in Vatican Council II which says Jews do not have to convert in the present times. So this new teaching is a break from Tradition. Relativism is the sign of the times in the church.
The pope also says in Light of the World –conversations with Peter Seewald (Ignatius) (p.107) that ‘there are no two ways of salvation’. Catholics would assume that he is affirming extra ecclesiam nulla salus, or Ad Gentes 7, Vatican Council II or Dominus Iesus 20, which says everyone, needs to enter the Church for salvation. No. He means that even though Lumen Gentium 16 does not say that we know personally cases of invincible ignorance in the present times; now, we will assume that it does say so. Relativism needs no text.
Since they are all now going to pray together probably the pope will assume that they are all not going to Hell, Shintoists, animists, Taoists,Wiccans…God is one but Hell exists. So do the demons.
Meanwhile on that day in Assisi Catholics are expected to pray in different churches .They will recite the Creed. ‘I believe in one baptism for the forgiveness of sin’. One baptism to remove Original Sin. The pope is saying that this is not needed. You do not need baptism to remove Original Sin. (John 3:5).
The ex cathedra dogma Cantate Domino, Council of Florence indicates every Jew and non Catholic Christian needs to enter the Church formally. Relativism says ‘no more’.
It’s also throwing away the Bible. ‘…those who do not believe will be condemned.’-Mark 16:16.
To reject the Creed and an ex cathedra dogma is a clear first class heresy and a mortal sin.
According to Canon Law 915 Holy Mass is not be offered by a celebrant in public moral sin without absolution in Confession and the removal of the sandal.
Not only has the scandal not been removed, the pope is enforcing the new teaching among Cardinals including the Vatican Curia .In a ‘dictatorship of relativism’?
How can they talk and pray for peace when according to the teachings of the Catholic Church, they are on the way to Hell if they die today.
Jesus before the High Priest did not deny that he was the Son of God, just to create peace in Jerusalem. The Apostles later did not deny the Faith just to protect their life.
